Colorado Springs Airport Passenger Count Increases 32.2 Percent

Colorado Springs, CO – At the end of October, 2017, a total of 1,387,249 passengers traveled through the Colorado Springs Airport (COS), representing a 32.2 percent increase from October, 2016. Frontier Airlines reported 188,152 passengers in year-to-date traffic, an increase of 363.4 percent from the previous year.

86,341 enplaned passengers and 84,517 deplaned passengers amount to a total of 170,858 passengers traveling through COS in October, an increase of 48.7 percent from October, 2016.

Load factors (the percentage of seats filled with paying passengers) remained steady for year to date October. Delta reported a 92.9 percent load factor, followed by American at 86.2 percent, United at 85.6 percent, Frontier at 84.6 percent, and Allegiant at 80.3 percent.

COS currently serves 13 nonstop flights with 5 airlines. Service to Seattle, Washington and San Antonio, Texas begins April 8, 2018, with new routes to Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minnesota and San Jose, California beginning April 9.
